We have just received the following information about this event:
"We are really sorry to let you know that Saturday’s Paisley Fireworks Spectacular event has been cancelled.
This is due to severe wind gusts and rain forecast for tomorrow and the rest of the weekend, which make it impossible for us to deliver the event safely. We have been monitoring the situation closely and have taken the advice from our display contractor, health and safety and the event advisory group.
Paisley Fireworks is one of the highlights of our event year and we know lots of people will be very disappointed.
We want to give local people and all of our supporters as much time as possible to change their plans and we hope to see everyone back in Paisley on Saturday the 17th for our fabulous Christmas Light Switch On.
Please take care if you are out and about this weekend."

Some of our pupils attended the recent national launch of the strategic partnership with Young Scot and Scottish Government. This Scottish Attainment Challenge project will see Youth Services working with partners to target young people, reducing barriers, opening up opportunities to connect, access, and experience learning and health and wellbeing activities.
Fiona Taylor, Youth Services Manager, commented "All the young people who attended were fantastic on the day – a real credit to your school, and to Renfrewshire. They introduced our VIP guests from Scottish Government, Young Scot, Transport Scotland, the Improvement Service, our local senior managers, neighbouring local authorities and Renfrewshire’s Young People Champion to the Deputy First Minister. They facilitated, led on activities, gave speeches, and were able to feedback their views on how to create solutions to some of the problems faced by their peers, across Scotland."

Huge thanks to Gordon and Innes our Linwood Community Police Officers for visiting Modern Studies and RMPS today to talk to S4 about how the police tackle crime and about the ethics involved.

To celebrate the Year of Young People 2018 Linwood High School pupils and teachers have been working with East Fulton and Woodlands Primaries to showcase the next generation of creative talent. Join us for some live music, dance and art created in workshops by Primary 7 pupils to inspire them to take part creatively when they reach high school next year. Come along and support your youngsters and show your appreciation for all their hard work and commitment to this exciting project, and of course the concert will have an interval where you can purchase home baking and teas and coffees.
