The S4 element of Reach and Access to a Career will take place online and will be ready for pupils from the 1st March. There is no registration process for pupils, instead we are simply asking you to pass on the link below to all interested and eligible pupils.
S4 online modules – www.gla.ac.uk/reach/s4online
From this webpage pupils will be able to access the modules for the subject they are interested in applying to.
The S4 online module introduces pupils to the Reach and Access to a Career professions (see below) and includes information on entry and subject requirements, skills development and career pathways. The module is set out in Microsoft SWAY which is fully accessible and does not require any downloads or registration. It has been designed so that pupils can work through it in their own time and can also be done in stages.
Once complete the pupils will be asked to submit a very short statement reflecting on what they have learnt from the modules.
For anyone new to either programme, you will find a full list of the degrees covered as well as links to further information in the table below –
Access to a Career
Accountancy and Finance (BAcc)
Veterinary Medicine (BVMS)
Teaching (MEduc, BTEchEd)**
Can I remind you that all pupils wishing to take part in Reach or Access must meet the eligibility criteria and be on course to meet the entry requirements for the profession that they are interested in applying to. If you are unsure about these then please check the information on our new webpages - www.gla.ac.uk/study/wp/adjustedoffers/schools/
You can also find up to date information on how participation on either of the programmes can impact on entry qualifications here – www.gla.ac.uk/study/wp/adjustedoffers/adjustedentry/
