Homework Across Ages and Stages

Homework is an integral part of all mathematics courses at Linwood High school and for many parents, may be the first idea you get of what your child does at school. We have therefore put a great deal of effort into writing homework, which is relevant, supportive and acts to consolidate and stretch pupil learning.
Children benefit from appropriate homework and so do parents and teachers.

Homework tasks, as well as being issued directly in class, are also uploaded to edmodo online.
Your son/daughter will have a code for this.

S1/2
​Little and often.
Usually ​10 - 20 minutes each time they have maths. 

S3/4
Little and often + more formal exercises  issued and marked on a regular basis.
Pupils are encouraged to:-

• start such formal homework early
• find out what they cannot do
• ​seek help from their teacher
