S3 students who volunteered to participate in Peer Mentor Training have started up our new weekly Hearty Lives Club today offering students in S1/2 a place to go to play games and talk every Wednesday at lunch time. Well done to all of our students who have participated in the training and to those students who enjoyed the first day of games.
Linwood High School is looking to build on our established good practise in becoming more sustainable. We are planning to look at recycling school uniforms. Many of our children rapidly grow out of their uniforms with very little wear and these could easily be recycled. If you have any items of uniform (black trousers or skirts, black jumpers or cardigans, blazers or school jackets, school shirts, ties, PE tops or even school bags) that you feel have plenty of use in them, could you drop these items into the school over the next few weeks? We have kindly been donated some clothes rails for our use. Our wonderful senior pupils will be taking the lead on co-ordinating this.
Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to our Parent Pay system, we are now at 53%. You will be aware that there are a few events in the near future such as; Prom, Leavers Hoodies and Yearbooks. Payment for these items will be through Parent Pay with the end date for payment being scheduled for March 31st. If you have not done so already, please sign up to Parent Pay. The exams take place on Monday the 14th and Tuesday the 15th March. Please check the timetable in the department for your allocated time. Good luck to everyone taking part and keep practising.
